In the hospital getting prepped for the upcoming transplant! Gotta eat while I can!

I know I need to hydrate. But honestly, I'm not the best at that. My mom is always on me about not drinking enough water.  So today, we went out with one of my moms best and oldest friend and they got me a cute waterbottle under the promise that I'd drink more water. They also got me a cute little hat for when we go out to walks up work on my endurance.  And my moms best friend got me a Snoopy shirt! Drinking water and taking a walk as a  speak!!!

Today is the 10th anniversary of my kasai surgery. I'm not looking forward to another surgery (luckily I don't remember my first one), but I can't wait to feel better.  A big thank you to my liver for working is hard

This is a grapefruit syrup my dad's friend made for us. It's super yummy and very refreshing. I need to enjoy it while I can.

Mom has been forcing me to do some light walk everyday to get my strength and stamina up. I like spending time with her but it definitely is work. We're going to go into rain season soon so maybe she will let me slack off a bit. 

Let me introduce you to my new friend "간이간이"(kanni kanni). The name literally means "liver-liver" in an endearing way. Apparently she's some sort of character that was made to promote organ donation? I don't know if she's a bear? Or a she? But she's been my sleeping buddy since I got her as a gift at the transplant center. 

Doctors told me I can't have nails on because they won't be able to see the blood profusion(?) well. So I promised mom that we can take it off after my trip to the amusement park. But look how pretty!!

Shhh.. this is is a secret but I went to the amusement park today. I didn't even go to school. I wasn't sure I wanted to post this. Because I can't even do gym, and people may think I'm irresponsible. My sister has exams soon but she took the day off. My dad took the day off work. It makes me feel a bit burdensome for everyone to have to drop everything for me. But... I have to admit it was so much fun. I felt a bit sick after one ride but I still got to look around like a normal kid

Uncle Apple (aka Tadakuni who works at Apple) saw a picture of me watching a video on my cell while being hospitalized for a few days to evaluate for the transplant.

It maybe hard to believe but I've never done basketball before. I've been fairly restricted with activities during gym and it was just not something I was exposed to. I actually had the privilege to be invited to a basketball game from the "Rare Disease Support Organization."  I was gifted this basketball at the game and we finally inflated it. I wasn't very good but it was so great to go out to see the game I was inspired! 

A little limited to travel and had to forgo the Kidzania trip due to a rushed hospital visit.  But I'm happy just going to a nearby park with my family and feeding the Koi.  Saving the big trip to Kidzania when I feel much better so she can enjoy it to the fullest! Can you guess what we used for food?
